Import the old content

In the old site, go to Tools>Export. Select “Export All” and run it. It will put a file in your downloads folder. Go to the new site and go to Tools>Import. Choose the WordPress importer (usually at the bottom of the list of importers) and click “Run Importer.” Drag and drop the file that is in your downloads folder. That will migrate most of your content over.

Go into Themes and activate the Divi theme.

Export Divi Global templates to bring in the header and footer

Divi>Theme Builder

Click the icon that looks like a down arrow with a circle around it. It’s above the header/footer template. A modal window will appear asking you to name the template. Name it, and click “Export Divi Theme Builder Template”

To import it, go to the new site and do this:

Divi>Theme Builder

In the upper right corner of the “Divi Theme Builder” window, there’s an icon with an arrow pointing down next to an arrow pointing up. Click that.

A modal window will appear that says, “Import & Export Templates.” Click “No File Selected” under Choose File.

Find the json file you downloaded earlier, click it, then click “Import Divi Theme Builder Templates.”

Click “Save Changes” in the upper left corner.

Go to Settings>Writing and set the homepage as a static page and choose the homepage you used on the other site.

Go to Appearance>Customize>Menus and activate the correct menu
